Therapy for Veterans
Leaving the environment doesn't always mean leaving the experience behind.
Military service can shape how you see the world, yourself, relationships, and safety.
Sometimes those experiences remain long after service ends.
You may be dealing with:
- PTSD
- Combat-related trauma
- Moral injury
- Hypervigilance
- Anger
- Sleep difficulties
- Survivor's guilt
- Grief
- Difficulty reconnecting with family
- Difficulty transitioning to civilian life
- Feeling disconnected from who you were before
- Experiences you'd rather not talk about
And sometimes you aren't sure whether what you're experiencing "counts" as trauma.
You don't have to have a diagnosis to deserve support.
Therapy doesn't have to take away your strength.
The goal isn't to make you forget what you've experienced or change who you are.
It's to help you have more control over how those experiences affect you now.
Depending on your needs, treatment may incorporate approaches including EMDR, ART, and other trauma-focused interventions.
You served. You adapted. You survived.
Now you deserve the opportunity to figure out what comes next.
